The NFT sector is increasingly becoming connected to the real world, with many digital ecosystems finding their feet in physical locations. Such is the case of the popular NFT project Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), which has decided to build a luxury physical clubhouse.
According to a tweet from the project’s X account, the clubhouse will be located in Miami. The clubhouse will spearhead the next era of BAYC, serving as the Miami headquarters for the NFT project. The project team began executing plans for the location in October 2025, and the buildout will continue this month.
Although BAYC is not headquartered as a single entity in any location, the four founders of the NFT project’s parent company, Yuga Labs, have strong ties to Miami. In fact, co-founders Wylie Aronow and Greg Solano are Miami natives who grew up in the city and connected during a spring break in 2011.
The Clubhouse in Miami will serve as an extension of the BAYC web portal, where users have explored the NFT project’s universe and accessed exclusive content. Like the online hub, the physical location will also become an exclusive space for BAYC holders to connect and explore the growing Yuga Labs ecosystem. The Clubhouse will feature NFT galleries, event spaces, exclusive perks, and community features.
While the web portal serves as an online marketplace and forum for users, the clubhouse will be a central physical hub for the BAYC community and related activities in the real world. The BAYC team is likely to host upcoming events scheduled for 2026 in The Clubhouse.
The latest announcement comes barely two months after Yuga Labs unveiled Koda Nexus in The Otherside metaverse. Although the metaverse had been in the works for years, the team launched Koda Nexus, akin to a digital town square, in mid-November 2025. Koda is now central to every activity in The Otherside, serving as a primary gathering location for all users, including new entrants.
With Koda Nexus fostering community interaction in the virtual world, Yuga Labs may eventually become inspired to create a physical location to connect users to The Otherside metaverse. This could lead to the creation of a hub that is similar to BAYC’s clubhouse. While the brand’s next direction remains to be seen, it is imperative that you stay tuned for more updates.
